Hey Everyone!

Thank you for your love and support of Shades of Green. We have had an amazing year in ministry, both with the
Spring tour, and the release of the much awaited new album "Generation";(available in the "Green Shop").
Anyway, we have great news! This summer we are going back to KAZAKHSTAN!! We are so excited!
The GOOD NEWS is we were able to raise all of our funds for our airline tickets (for all five band members)
they have been purchased for July 20-Aug20!! So by faith we ARE going. The reason I say," by faith we are going";
is, at this point monies do not allow us to eat, travel or do our ministry, nor pay our bills back home while we are out
of the country these 30 days. This is a HUGE issue! (Especially to the boys who want to eat during that month)
We are still in need of approximately $10,000 dollars. As most of you know we Greens can speak and sing
in Russian and having lived there for four years feel very confident of the effectiveness of the ministry God has called us to this
summer in Almaty. But we do need more help and felt that many of you would lend that help us if aware of the situation.

We just finished an 8 week tour with our new album. In that time God blessed us with nearly
10 grand which went completely on passports, visa's and airline tickets. We have done our best to work for this money
but time is running out. We will be out of the country a full 30 days, with a full band, begging to play for the cause
of Christ-not being asked to play and certainly not being paid.Which as you can imagine poses a problem,
I think you see where this is going. So here is the deal, if you can help, PLEASE DO IT. We need it.
Send us we want to go! For all who want to know what is going to go on, here ya go!
While we are there Shades of Green will be involved with:

1. One on one Bible studies with seekers/strangers. That is always our hearts desire first and foremost to teach people about Jesus.
We will all be active in that goal.

2. Organizing a summer youth program to help rebuild our youth there. When we lived there for four years we
(my brother and sister) were teens, thus there were a lot of teens in the church. Four years later we have a large
young adults group, but the youth has dwindled down a bit. So we plan to help them get creative and reach the generation under them.
They have done an amazing job of getting their age group, time to reach back down.

3. We will be working closely with orphans and hope to visit possibly even "entertain" an orphan camp.

4. We are working to do a concert for the "missionary school" that is there. These are men and women from around
the world, primarily English speaking that live in Almaty as missionaries or human aid folk to that country. This will be a great
opportunity to encourage them.

5. We will do a evangelistic concert for our church as Shades of Green, and in that we will do some songs in Russian
to effectively communicate the message of Christ to them.

6. We are hoping to do at least three localized concerts, one at the Theater, and one at the "Family" park,
and a third on the square. In this we will use our gifts and ability to speak in Russian to sing and even proclaim
the Lord in that country openly. This is a risky idea and we do not know how it will be received
as it is in some ways considered illegal. NOT TECHNICALY, but the idea of it is certainly.
We have found a loop whole with "music" we intend to use it until we are told we can not.
Our church will help support us in this by being at each event and "working the crowd" to invite people to a "church" meeting.
PLEASE PRAY OVER THIS, IT CAN BE VERY INTENSE over there, but we are up for the challenge of it.

7. We also intend to work with, build and encourage the existing praise band at our church "Light of Jesus Church"
We will teach and work to translate some new songs, primarily encourage and inspire the group there.

8. Finally we (the Greens) want to reconnect with those who may have quit coming over the course of the past 2 years
since our families departure from the country. We have hopes of reestablishing connections with ones
we formerly had relationships with and see if we can't gather some old seeds back up while we are planting new ones.

As you can see we have a lot on our plates. There is a total of 8 going. Five of which are "Shades of Green" (SOG)
So we have SOG and a three of our college students from Metro Church going with us. We really need prayers
concerning everything I have written to you about. Also to add to the prayers...

1. Not everyone has received their passports back yet. We NEED them desperately because we must send off for
Visa's for each person. Please pray the remaining passports will come in SOON.

2. The funding. To rent a hall for a few hours in KZ WILL cost a few hundred dollars.Plus we can not take
all of our sound equipment with us. So we are talking rental costs out the yazoo. Many places will not even
rent it to you if they find out you are Christians. SO two things in this request. That we will be able to rent the h
alls and equipment we need, and secondly that it will not cost us our first born child! haha.. money! we don't have).

3. Safety is always good to pray for. We would like to come back home ;-)

4. Pray that God will begin right now cultivating the hearts and minds of the people he will bring to us
and that we will go before. That we will find favor with both God and man.

5. That many men and women will come to know Jesus this summer through these efforts.
